Listen To These Horrible Pro-Trump Racists On CB Radios And Be Totally Terrified.

There were also plenty of Confederate flags at
a Massachusetts rally where extremely racist CB
radio chatter was captured.
Yep, some Donald Trump supporters are racist, that's for sure.

Not all of them. Definitely not. But Raw Story  via Winning Democrats, has an interesting take from a rally in Massachusetts in late July in which their chatter was caught on CB radio.

It's definitely chilling and scary. And this is coming from a white guy. Imagine if an African American were nearby and heard what you'll read about.

From Raw Story:

"A Massachusetts convoy of Trump supporters drove from Wrentham to Foxboro in their trucks, RVs and SUVs on July 31 and were caught on tape spewing racist epithets and calls for anti-black violence.

'Lynch the ni**ers by their dicks,!' said one driver, according to Winning Democrats, which highlighted a YouTube video of what the 'Make America Great Again' convoy talked about on its CB channel when they thought no one was listening."

'Burn every single ni**ger!' says another driver.

'All I know is we got plenty of trees to hang ni**gers from,' says another.

Yeah, real sweethearts in this group of idiots.

The YouTube video is at the bottom of this post. It's very disturbing. First of all, the group in the trucks and at the rally were pretty scary looking, judging from the video.

I'm sure the YouTube video only selected the most abhorrent words. And I suppose we could question the veracity o the video, but from what I can tell it seems legit.

It came from Winning Democrats, as I noted, and they are obviously an advocacy group against Trump, but all evidence supports the idea the CB traffic is real.

The video proves the point I've made quite often lately: Donald Trump isn't really the scary one. It's some of his supporters:

Vermont City Might Sic Debt Collector On Donald Trump

People wait in line for a vastly overbooked Donald
Trump rally January 7 in Burlington, Vermont.
The city is trying to bill Trump for police and fire overtime.
Donald Trump is supposedly a billionaire, but will he have a debt collector harassing him soon anyway?

Maybe.

According to NECN, Burlington, Vermont mayor Miro Weinberger, a Democrat, says Trump is about three months late paying an $8,500 bill for police and fire overtime costs from January 7.

That was from the notorious rally Trump held in which his campaign gave away far, far more tickets than there were available seats at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, where the rally was held.'

There's no guarantee Burlington will hire a collection agency yet. Weinberger and his city are wrestling with free speech issues versus a campaign basically running roughshod over a small city and not coordinating things at all with the muncipality.

Weinberger told NECN that given the importance of democracy and free speech, candidates should travel to communities like Burlington to give speeches and get a sense of how people are feeling about the issues.

But just popping into town with no plan for security, and what to do with all the people holding tickets for an event they can't get into and all the other issues is a bit much.

Generally speaking, national candidates don't cover the cost of police overtime in cities they visit, despite the disruption they cause. (Note: It's good disruption. As Weinberger notes, candidates really do have an obligation to travel and talk about their ideas.)

In neighboring South Burlington, NECN says Barack Obama's campaign didn't reimburse that city for a 2011 fundraiser in which police worked overtime to deal with the visit.

Trevor Whipple, South Burlington's police chief, drew a distinction between a politician's visit for official business and a fundraiser. Maybe the city should be reimbursed for political fundraisers, but not actual working on doing their job.

An exception to major campaigns not reimbursing cities for events is Bernie Sanders, NECN reports.

Last May, Sanders, the former mayor of Burlington,  held a very big rally on that city's waterfront to announce his presidential candidacy.

The Sanders campaign paid Burlington's bills for police and fire overtime in full and on time, Weinberger told NECN.

It's not like Burlington is going to go bankrupt if Trump doesn't pay up. The police portion of the Trump bill is $7,200. The city's police department  has roughly a $10 million annual budget.

Some Questions About The Sucker Punch At The Trump Rally

John McGraw, accused of sucker punching
an anti-Trump activist at a Trump rally.
All everybody's been talking about all day is the sucker punch John McGraw, 78, landed on Rakeem Jones, as Jones was being led out of a North Carolina Trump rally last night.

Jones was there to protest against Trump, and as always, Trump supporters would have none of it.

OK, the Trump partisans don't like the protestors, fine.

But I have some questions I haven't heard good answers for yet. I'm sure a lot of other people have the same questions

Jones was taken down and into custody right away by police, while they left McGraw alone. Why ws crime victim Jones being treated that way, while the criminal was treated with the utmost politeness by police?

Maybe the police there are Trump supporters and are fine with people getting beat up.

McGraw was finally arrested this morning. Is my theory that the higher ups in North Carolina law enforcement and politics didn't really want to arrest McGraw, but recognized this would turn into a PR nightmare for them if they don't? You know, bad optics.

Was it because people got it all on video, so they couldn't easily concoct some false story that Jones was being violent?

Other people have been hit and pushed and Trump rallies. Why is it, until now, nobody has been charged with so much as simple assault or the even more minor charge of disturbing the peace for doing this?

If I randomly pushed somebody out on the street, wouldn't I get arrested?

Are all the people who attend Trump rallies paranoid nut cases like McGraw? I doubt it, but McGraw's comments give me pause.

Inside Edition asked McGraw why he punched Jones. McGraw replied:

"Well, number one, we don't know if he's ISIS....We don't know who he is, but we know he's not acting like and American and cussing me.."

OK, so anybody who doesn't like Trump is possibly a member of the heinous terrorist group ISIS? And anybody who doesn't like Trump is not acting like and American?

So to get this straight, punching people you don't like is American, but criticizing a political figure is un-American, do I have that right? If that is right, when they repeal the First Amendment and legalize assault? I didn't get the memo on that one.

Or wait! An update! McGraw also said of Jones. "The next time we see him, we might have to kill him."  So now we can murder people whose opinions we don't like.

What if God forbids somebody tries to kill Trump because they don't like him.? Or can we only kill certain people. Liberals yes, but particularly ignorant versions of conservatives get a pass?

Wouldn't it be easier if we just kept current laws in place that forbid us from killing anybody we don't like?

I heard a pundit today say Jones deserved to be punched because he was "rude" for protesting at a Trump rally.

OK, I buy the argument he might have been rude. So we get to punch rude people now? Like the gal in the seat in front of me at the movie theater who's texting and talking through the whole show?

A rather unrelated question: Is McGraw one of those poorly educated people Trump claims to like so much?

Here's a more ominious, large perspective question: If Trump wins, will he or his minions persecute those who fought against his presidential bid?. If Trump loses, will he or his minions persecute those who fought against his presidential bid?

Nervous, mortified, inquiring minds want to know.

Cringe-Worthy Performance By Three Girls At Trump Rally

The Freedom Girls salute America,
and presumably Donald Trump.
OK, I don't normally make a habit of criticizing young girls for their musical performances.

Doing so is usually gross and bullying. Especially coming from a middle aged guy like me.

And, I'm totally OK with patriotic performances. Pride in your nation is all good.

Here, though, I'm going to make an exception to the no dissing kids rule.

The performance by the so-called Freedom Girls at a Pensacola, Florida Donald Trump rally was more than a little creepy.

I don't blame the three girls who did the performance. They're just doing what some so called grown up told them to do. But whoever the adults were who set this up seem to take their cues from a North Korean government rally committee.

The Freedom Girls start their song with what sounds like a Trump and Tea Party political swipe at the Obama administration. Basically, the president is accused of backing down all the time and letting ISIS and every other bad guy run roughshod over us.

The Freedom Girls are having NONE of this. NO way.

USA! USA!

The hideous music the Freedom Girls sing to sounds, as the The Fix column in the Washington Post puts it, a cross between Blondie's "Heart of Glass" and the marching tune "Over There."

Then we get into these lyrics:

"Enemies of freedom face the music
Come on boys, take them down.
President Donald Trump knows how
To make America great.
Deal from strength or get crushed every time."

On the bright side, the girls do invent a new word, which is fun. It's "Ameritude" I'm not quite sure what it means, but we can all sort that out later.

At least some of the comments on the YouTube video are entertaining:

"To think that Donald Trump calls Bernie a communist, when Trump basically uses Kim Jong Un as his stage manager."

And:

"I can't wait for these kids to watch this video fifteen years later and really hate their parents."

Watch the Freedom Girls' performance if you dare:

Trump WAYYYY Overbooks Vermont Venue: This Ought To Be Interesting

Donald Trump is holding a rally in Burlington,
Vermont tonight, but gave away WAAY too many tickets
Hooray for Trump supporters!!  The Donald is holding a rally tonight at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, Vermont.

Here's the problem: The Flynn has a capacity for 1,400 attendees. The Donald's campaign has issued 20,000 tickets. See the problem here?

According to the Burlington (Vermont) Free Press, the city's mayor, fire marshall and police chief are not amused by this situation.

This will mean that many Trump supporters, who are often perpetually angry anyway, will be angrier still for not getting in.

This is also liberal Vermont remember.  Which means that also outside the Flynn tonight is sure to be a LOT of demonstrators who don't like The Donald at all.

You can see why the mayor, the fire marshall and the police chief are in a grumpy mood today.

The Burlington Free Press has this quote:

"'I wonder if the Trump campaign took into account the safety of the police officers who have to contend with large, dissatisfied crowds,' Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo said. 'This situation would place police officers in needless confrontations with citzenry.'"

del Pozo said he would have shut down tonight's Trump venue had it been a music concert or something because of the safety worries, but he's not in this case because it's a political event, and he wants to protect First Amendment rights to free speech.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger is peeved with Trump campaign, too, says the Burlington Free Press.

"Their attitude is, what happens outside the venue is someone else's responsibility," Weinberger said of Trump's campaign. "It's not the way I would treat my supporters, people coming to an event of mine."
Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington,
Vermont has a capacity of 1,400 or so, but Donald
Trump's campaign distributed 20,000 tickets for the event.

Which raises questions about a Trump presidency: If he made a mess of things either diplomatically, or with the economy or anything else important, would Trump just say it's somebody else's problem to clean up?

I'm prone to conspiracy theories, so here's my latest: Does Trump hope for trouble, so that he can tell his "real Americam" supporters that those horrible liberals like the ones in Vermont, are violent jerks who are to be hated and not trusted?

Again, that's just a wild conspiracy theory which has no basis in fact, but Trump does make you wonder.

Next door to the Flynn Theater is a wonderful little sandwich shop called Kountry Kart Deli. They've introduced a new sandwich this week called "The Trump."

It's bologna on white bread. Kountry Kart is charging $20.16 for this sandwich. Eat up, kiddies!
