Listen To These Horrible Pro-Trump Racists On CB Radios And Be Totally Terrified.

There were also plenty of Confederate flags at
a Massachusetts rally where extremely racist CB
radio chatter was captured.
Yep, some Donald Trump supporters are racist, that's for sure.

Not all of them. Definitely not. But Raw Story  via Winning Democrats, has an interesting take from a rally in Massachusetts in late July in which their chatter was caught on CB radio.

It's definitely chilling and scary. And this is coming from a white guy. Imagine if an African American were nearby and heard what you'll read about.

From Raw Story:

"A Massachusetts convoy of Trump supporters drove from Wrentham to Foxboro in their trucks, RVs and SUVs on July 31 and were caught on tape spewing racist epithets and calls for anti-black violence.

'Lynch the ni**ers by their dicks,!' said one driver, according to Winning Democrats, which highlighted a YouTube video of what the 'Make America Great Again' convoy talked about on its CB channel when they thought no one was listening."

'Burn every single ni**ger!' says another driver.

'All I know is we got plenty of trees to hang ni**gers from,' says another.

Yeah, real sweethearts in this group of idiots.

The YouTube video is at the bottom of this post. It's very disturbing. First of all, the group in the trucks and at the rally were pretty scary looking, judging from the video.

I'm sure the YouTube video only selected the most abhorrent words. And I suppose we could question the veracity o the video, but from what I can tell it seems legit.

It came from Winning Democrats, as I noted, and they are obviously an advocacy group against Trump, but all evidence supports the idea the CB traffic is real.

The video proves the point I've made quite often lately: Donald Trump isn't really the scary one. It's some of his supporters:

Cannabis And F-Bomb Included In On-Air Reporter's Quitting Moment

Now former reporter Charlo Greene at the KTVA
studios in Alaska during happier times.
You see a lot of churn in local television news personalities. They come, they go, you always see departures and new faces.

Normally, this happens smoothly and in a friendly manner.

The last night on air for a reporter or anchor includes a brief, heartfelt goodbye, and the new guy or gal that comes in is welcomed with smiles.

Charlo Greene, a reporter at KTVA in Alaska broke that mold over the weekend, complete with NSFW language and very much of a surprise disclosure.

She left her job in epic fashion during the 10 p.m. Sunday newscast by declaring herself the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club and saying "Fuck it, I quit" during a live newscast.

According to the Independent UK:

"Having grown weary of reporting the news, Greene told viewers she would instead be putting all her energy into the fight to legalize marijuana in the state, having previously reported on the Alaska Cannabis Club without mentioning her connection to it."

Of course, reporting on an organization without disclosing your ties to it is a huge journalistic no-no. In fact, a journalist should not report on anything at all if he or she has close ties to the subject at hand, disclosure or not.

So Greene probably would have been fired or at least severely reprimanded had that come out before she quit.

Still, she certainly had a dramatic flair with her departure from KTVA. Burned a few bridges, too, but she probably went out and burned a joint to celebrate afterward, so all is good.

I feel sorry for the main news anchor who was left sitting there after Greene's on air F-bomb.  The anchor understandably looked really mad, and stammered, "We apologize for that," tried to cut to a commercial break, but couldn't, so went on with the news.

It was awkward, to say the least.

A message on the KTVA web site this morning apologies for Greene's outburst.

News Anchor Learns Of Friend's Suicide While Reading TelePrompter On Air

My heart goes out to Lee Chingua, a television anchor for Next TV News in Taiwan, who quite possibly had the worst, saddest and most public bad day on the job.
This news anchor in Taiwan learned of her
friend's suicide as she read a TelePrompter
during a newscas. Add caption

She was reading the news off a TelePrompter for a television audience when the scrolling words revealed the breaking news that Taiwanese reporter Erich Shih of CtaTV was found dead of an apparent suicide.

Chingua was a close friend of Shih. When we learn the news that somebody close to us has died, we want the moment to be private. We want to absorb the huge loss alone, or with a few loved ones near us.

Chingua had to absorb the news while reading the news to a national audience. And somehow she had to remain professional and composed.

Someho, she did it. I don't know how. The words are in Taiwanese, and you can't understand them, but you can see her heart breaking as she reads the news.  (You can click on "cc" at the bottom of the video to get subtitles in English. )

I hope she was taken off the air right after this broadcast, and given the privacy and love she needs.

Her professionalism, though, is incredible. Watch:

Woman Is Mugged While TV Reporter Interviews Her About Muggings

In Brazil this past week, local media were doing stories about the high crime rate in Rio de Janeiro and other big cities.
A mugger snatches a woman's necklace while
a TV reporter interviews her about a rash of muggings

One television station was doing an on the street interview about the subject with a passerby when a kid grabbed the woman's necklace and took off.

Kind of proves the point the television journalist was trying to make about crime, huh?

The reporter tried to chase the kid, but the teen was too fast. Police later caught him, though.

Here's the video:

Group Innovatively Uses Mockups of Famous Magazines To Highlight Abused, Exploited Girls

One of the fake magazine covers from Catapult.
Imagine if Good Housekeeping magazine suddenly became "Good Slavekeeping," with cover teasers like "35 Days to Train the Perfect Slave - How to Whip Her Into Shape, Fast!"

Or what if Seventeen magazine became "Thirteen" a magazine for young girls forced into prostitution, with headlines like "Hide those Bruises With 35 Easy Makeup Tricks"

How about, instead of Bride magazine, we get "Child Bride" for children forced into marriage against their will. "Dazzling Bridal Gowns! Now For Ages 7-12`!"

The above examples are beyond sickening, but that's the point. As part of an International Womens Day effort to expose, fight and stop exploitation and abuse of young girls all over the globe.

Catapult, a crowdfunding group advocating for equal and human rights for girls and women worldwide, has put out the provocative magazine covers.

According to Mashable, Maz Kessler, Catapult's founder and creative director say she was glad people and marking International Womens Day by highlighting inspiring women and important causes, but she wanted to get people fired up to improve the situation for the world's women.
Another Cataputl fake (thankfully!)
magazine cover

"Thankfully these are fake magazines. Unfortunately, these are real problems," Kessler told Mashable.

She said 14 million girls, some as young as eight years old, will be married against their will in 2014. About 1.2 million children, most of them girls, will be trafficked into slavery. And in New York, girls as young as 13 are exploited for sexual exploitation, according to Catapult.

So yes, the fake magazine covers hit new lows in tastelessness and shock value. But sometimes it's worth it, if it inspires somebody, anybody to make the world a better place for exploited and abused girls and women.

Because strong women make a strong world. Which is what we really need right now.

Host Faints, but QVC Sales Must, MUST Continue!

QVC, the network whose existence is all about merchandising and selling, selling, selling! proved again there's nothing more important than, well, making the sale.

Not even a medical emergency.

They were selling some kids' Android gizmo or something recently when one of the hosts, Cassie Slane, fainted, live on the air.

But co-host Dan Wheeler was there to save the day! Well, sort of. He did ask Slane if she was OK as she was collapsing to the floor. But the quick thinking cameraman quickly cut to an image of the product while Wheeler kept singing the praises of the gizmo and why you should buy it at its low, low, price.

As he's talking, you could hear the clunk and bang of Slane hitting the floor. Hey, sales have got to continue, even if part of the sales force dies, right. Commerce and capitalism above all else!

On the bright side, Slane is fine. She collapsed because she was suffering from low blood sugar but has reportedly recovered. But Russell could not have known that when she fell. She could have died of a heart attack for all he knew.

But, maybe they would have given him a bigger sales commission if Slane was out of the picture, who knows?

Anyway, here's the disturbing video so you can see for yourself:
