Moronic Motorists Everywhere: Watch This Jerk In Germany

The fire truck is in a hurry. So what
does the idiot in the green car do? Watch.
Everybody who knows me is probably sick of me complaining about the minority of motorists out there who find new and creative ways to be incredibly stupid and incredible jerks.

I guess this is an international problem.

Watch how idiotic the person in the green car in this video is as a fire truck that's obviously in a hurry for some emergency comes upon the moron.

As an aside, I like German fire truck sirens more than American fire truck sirens.

Can anybody be that oblivious, or passively-aggressively this mean?:

Turns Out Yoga Pants Are The Downfall Of Society

Montana State Rep. David Moore is no fan of
yoga pants. Apparently they are a menace.
Image from Jezebel.
The State of Montana has the best fashion police, let me tell you.

The world is going to hell in a hand basket, and Montana State Rep. David Moore knows exactly why:

Yoga pants. Especially the ones that are about the same color as human skin. It makes a person look naked or something, Moore said.

According to the Billings Gazette, Moore has introduced the morality saving House Bill 365, which would expand Montana's indecent exposure law to include, as the Gazette put it, "any nipple exposure, including met's and any garment that 'gives the appearance or simulates' a person's buttocks, genitals, pelvic area or female nipple."

That list would include flesh-colored yoga pants, Moore said. Other color yoga pants would have been OK, supposedly, under the proposal, but Moore doesn't like any yoga pants.

"Yoga pants should be illegal in public anyway," Moore said after a hearing on the bill, says the Billings Gazette.

This all got started last August, when there was something called  "Bare As You Dare" bicycle event in Missoula. This kind of thing happens in a lot of cities lately where people in a group ride bicycles while naked because it's fun, people want to celebrate and promote acceptance of all kinds of body images, or they're making some sort of statement like "bicycles are good" or "fossil fuels are bad."

I'm not sure how riding a bike naked will reduce our dependence on fossil fuel, but what the hell. Nobody is getting hurt at these events, right

If you ask Moore and another Montana lawmaker named Walt Hill, this kind of naked bike ride is a terrible threat to the Good Citizens of Montana, so any kind of indecent exposure must be stopped.

Officials felt like they had to give a permit for the "Bare As You Dare" event last year because denying it would maybe make the officials run afoul of First Amendment free speech protections.

So, the effort is on to cover up Big Sky country.

"I want Montana to be known as a decent state where people can live within the security of laws and protect their children and associates from degrading and indecent practices," the Billings Gazette quoted Hill as saying.

Yeah, because I surely wouldn't feel secure unless there was a ban on naked bike rides, yoga pants and guys walking around wearing no shirts.

The wrong kind of clothing is apparently dangerous, at least in the eyes of some lawmakers.

However, Moore's efforts are for naught. According to Jezebel and the Associated Press, a Montana legislative committed voted to day to quash the anti-yoga pants bill.

At the peak of the craze of wearing baggy pants that sagged halfway down people's butts, some states and municipalities tried to ban the wearing of them.

Too dangerous? Too, I don't know, hip hoppy?

Way back in the 1930s people tried to ban zoot suits because they, like the baggy pants, represented an urban youth culture, rather weighted toward Hispanics, that the adults didn't like.

I'm still not sure how banning certain types of clothing, instead of banning objectionable behavior is going to fix society's ills.

But I guess fixing society's ills is too tough a task, so banning certain types of clothes seems an easy way out.

Talk about the emperor having no clothes!

Another Month of Entertaining News Bloopers

I always like those compilation videos that demonstrate that live TV when doing newscasts is fraught with danger.
Uh, Am I on now? Another month of
head-slapping news bloopers.

This month's episode of TV newscasters having their share of problems includes one reporter who, on air, fell into a North Carolina creek terribly polluted with coal tar.

The famous clip of the U.S Congressman threatening to throw a reporter over a balcony railing is there for good measure.

There's lots of weather clips, which makes sense because there's been lots of weather lately.

My favorite moment when a man being interviewed says winter is "Like Justin Beiber, kind of cute and exciting when it first started out and now it's a bit obnoxious and should just stay in Canada."

Here, here! on that one.

Here's your morning news. Watch:

Four Hilarious, Pathetic Cases In Which The Holidays Proved Too Stressful

It's New Year's Eve, which means the holiday season is almost over.
A ceramic squirrel died in this woman's hands.

For those who don't like stress, thatnk gawd for that.  Sometimes, the holidays really send people over the edge. If you thought you had tense moments over the Christmas holiday, I have four incidents that make your holiday feel like bliss.

(Thanks to the blog "Nothing To Do With Arbroath" for documenting all this Christmas mayhem)

Booze flows freely during holiday celebrations, and if the liquor spigot stops, there's often trouble. Like in South Carolina, where a man sent out to find some beer found the stores all closed late on Christmas Eve.

The man's common law wife, Helen Williams, 44, was none too pleased with this development. So she stabbed him with a ceramic squirrel, according to police in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Luckily, our victim is going to recover, but Williams is in a heap of trouble, charged with "crimial domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature," as police put it.

I''d also charge her with a home design crime for having ceramic squirrels in the first place, but that's just me.

There was something about South Carolina and the holidays that didn't seem to work well this year, anyway.  Another couple got into a Christmas time argument over the upcoming wedding. (Judging from what you'll read next, don't expect an invitation to arrive in your mailbox. I think the wedding is off.)

In Richland County, South Carolina, police said Krysta James, 34, stabbed her fiance during an argument over the planned color scheme of their wedding.

Details on what was right or wrong with the color scheme were not available, but Krysta was jailed, leaving her time to contemplate what colors she'd like at her dream wedding. A dream wedding, because that's all she'll probably get. A wedding in her imagination.
Don't mess with this woman when it comes
to wedding planning.

After all, who the hell would want to marry her in reality after this incident? Imagine how violent she'd get if she hated the bridesmaid dresses.

Now it's time to leave South Carolina and head to the lovely town of Jamestown, in western New York, where a woman had Christmas fixings simmering away in a crock pot.

That is, until a man in the house, maybe worried about all that expensive electricity usage, unplugged the crockpot.

The woman, Bridget Putnam, 21, responded like any reasonable cook would. She choked and stabbed the guy who shut off her crock pot, according to Jamestown Police.

Don't mess with the Christmas cook!

Food was the center of another food fight in neighboring Ohio Christmas night. Apparently, two sisters had a dispute over some apple fritters. The fight ended with one sister stabbing the other.

Judging from these incidents, the old Christmas trope of peace and goodwill toward man (and women!) during the holiday is SO passe.

Worst Internet Troll Yet Falsely Accuses Woman Of Falsely Reporting Rape

Even though I'm past 50 years old, I still look to other guys who might be role models, guys that do things right, that give me some guidance on how to be a good man, a decent man, somebody that people might respect. Somebody that gives respect.
Creepy Internet troll Peter Nolan

Peter Nolan is not that role model. Not by a long shot.

He is, in my view, though, one of the creepiest Internet trolls out there.

You've never heard of Nolan, most likely, but he heads this group (or he's the only member of the group)  "Crimes Against Fathers" whose mission seems to be to really nail woman who allegedly falsely accuse people of rape.

What Peter Nolan and/or his group does is put online personal information, i.e. name, address, of the women he says falsely yell rape.

He recently did this to a woman we'll call Rachel at Ohio University. Only problem was, the woman he's targeting had nothing to do with the sexual encounter he's highlighting.

Nolan is unrepentant though. Rachel sort of, maybe, kinda, looks like the woman in the sex tape that is part of the rape accusation. Therefore, in Nolan's logic, she's the one that falsely reported the rape.

Never mind that Rachel, Ohio University, police and prosecutors all insist Rachel had nothing to do with the sexual encounter that might have been a rape. She has apparently not reported any recent crimes, falsely or otherwise.

She might have happened to be in the same building where the alleged rape happened,  maybe, but she's not involved.

And, police say, they're still investigating the incident and are not sure yet if there even was a sexual encounter (there probably was) or if there was a false accusation of rape from anyone (So far, no proof or strong indication there was)

Because of Nolan, Rachel can't go to classes and is in hiding. Because Nolan the troll, who put Rachel's information on line, inspired a whole bunch of other trolls, as these things tend to do. They've been threatening her, making her life hell.

I hope Rachel sues the hell out of Nolan, but I doubt she'll be able to. Nolan the Wimp is hiding out in Germany, it seems.

Nolan told the New York Daily News this:

"The University of Ohio and the local police aer not credible sources of information The police are the LAST people I would trust for passing out information.....

"What would be credible information, is for the woman who made the false rape allegation to be named, her photograph released to the public for comparison to the video, and for those who witnessed the event to sign afficavits under oath tha the woman they saw at the incident is the woman who now admits that she made the false rape allegation."

Hoo-boy. And we're supposed to believe Nolan is a more credible source than police and Ohio University?

And that Nolan plans to continue torturing Rachel until a possibly fictional woman shows up to admit she falsely accused somebody of rape and that the people visible in this video are going to sign some big statement and affidavit just to make Nolan happy?

Besides, who cares if Rachel is not the woman in the video, according to Nolan. If she gets so upset by his actions that she commits suicide, good, because men are so persecuted by false accusations and discriminated against by society, says Nolan according to Buzzfeed.

According to Buzzfeed, if you can stand it:

"Absolutely, we know that we might injure this woman. This woman might to out and commit suicide," he (Nolan) says.

He sees the issue as part of a larger societal issue of men being villified in courts and by the media. It's an issue that he says he's standing up against by publicly naming women wo are possibly committing perjury.

"If Rachel...goes out tomorrow and buys a agun and blows her head off that's not a problem for me. I'm prepared to say that in public," he says. "Now the reason I'm prepared to say that in public is because I'm reflecting back the exact same attitude that it would be if it were a man."

So what he's saying is he'd be happy to have an innocent woman be driven to suicide because of his perception that society is biased against men.  Whether or not Rachel is biased against men is beside the point.

I'd love somebody to get Nolan's personal information on line to give him a taste of his own medicine. I don't normally like trolling, but in this case, he deserves it.

But of course Nolan the wimp is now hiding even more now. You can't access his Crimes Against Fathers site. I don't know if he took it down or somebody else did.

He does have a video on YouTube, but the comment section is disabled. You wouldn't want to hurt his feelings even mildly criticizing him, apparently, but yet he can torture via the Internet women he hasn't met, doesn't know and has total misinformation about them

I guess Nolan really IS a role model for me, come to think of it. A role model on how I should live my life exactly the opposite he does.

Never Bring A Baseball Bat To A Gun Store Robbery

Some guy in Portland, Oregon named Derrick Mosley has apparently never heard the cliche, "Never bring a knife to a gunfight."
This guy brought a baseball bat to
a would-be gun fight. Didn't go well for him.

Well, he did bring a baseball bat, and, as it turns out, a knife to the gun shop he wanted to rob, says television station KPTV.

Predictably to everyone except Mosley, the robbery didn't go very well. The gun shop owner, again, predictably, pointed a loaded gun at Moseley, who by this time had picked up a handgun on the display at the shop to bolster his arsenal.

Once again, predictably, the gun Moseley picked up was not loaded.

The gun shop owner held Mosley at gun point until police arrived and arrested him. He'll have plenty of time to think about how to commit future crimes. May I suggest taking a class called Gunfights 101?
