It's amazing more people weren't hurt, considering the collapsed came on a busy Manhattan street.
The construction crew was trying to lower the giant crane to secure it as winds increased during the storm. Something went wrong, and the whole thing collapsed.
A person in a nearby building captured the dramatic collapse. The people filming dropped a lot of F-bombs, which I would have done too if I'd witnessed this. (The swear words were bleeped out of the video you'll see below.)
